MY EXPERIENCES IN MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT
From September to November, we examine different websites and programs through the lesson. I have known interesting online presentation and sharing knowledge ways. All the things we learn in this lesson is an outstanding choice for teaching. Now, I have lots of options to address the students who have multiple intelligence in my future class.
The only problem that I would like to mention is the usage of smart boards. A huge amount of the schools in Turkey have smart boards to make the teaching more effective. I expected to learn how to use these boards as teachers,but we didn't. Except this dissapointment, I really like to being a part of this class as a future teacher.
Prezi
At the first week, we used Prezi website which is used to prepare effective and eye-catching presentation as online. It is a life-saver in most cases. Thanks to Prezi, we can save our presentation in the 'cloud' and open every pc without any hesitation if we have enthernet. I have no more fear of broken flash diskes or viruses that ruin all the presentation.
Blogger
As I use right now, I will go on use this blog site in my teacher life. This is a perfect way to observe my students' development from an objective view. Also, they can reflect their learning process as they wish. This is the best way to extend your lesson's borders for the sake of your teaching process and students.
Weebly
Weebly is an active way to share all our knowledge with people out of our students that want to have benefit from our lessons. The website has interfaces which can be used easily to create lots of sections to title our lessons in a logical order,so people visit our website can find what they search for without any distruption.
Movie Maker
Sorry,but this is a demanding program. As a future teacher,I do not think that I would waste my time to prepare a teaching video by movie maker. Anyway, I am sure that I would use this program to split the videos' parts that I would use in my lesson. Creating a whole teaching video, I would rather search a modern program than movie makier.
Facebook
To be honest, facebook is old-fashion now. They thinks that Facebook is an uncle-aunt type of wibesite anymore. Also, it has lots of games and interesting activities in it, so the students can be distracted easily while learning via it. I 'may' use it just for notifications if I do not have a whatsapp group or something like that.
Lastly, I can say that I am glad to be a student of this class. I see how to escape from being a traditional teacher and how to support my lesson out of the class. The other point I would like to emphasize is wasting paper for hand-out activities would be less thanks to the technology we learn. Thanks for nature.
